MUSIC
Rafaël Frost started creating electronic music at the age of nine when playing random tunes on the electric piano of his parents. After a couple of years he took drum lessons, practiced guitar and played in a band which featured in a music video in a Dutch TV show (VPRO, Nederland 3). In 1993 Rafaël Frost began creating actual tracks with software called “Scream Tracker”.
GREECE 2000
Rafaël Frost first release came in 2004, and it wasn’t a small one. Rafaël Frost got the opportunity to remix The Greece 2000 hit by “Three Drives”. The remix was received with great support from all big names including the 2004 world #1 DJ - Tiësto.
FLASHOVER RECORDINGS
After the release on Massive Drive Recordings, Rafaël Frost met the A&R manager of Ferry Corsten’s Flashover label. As they searched for new artists for their new label, a meeting took place. This is where Rafaël Frost previewed a small part of his track “Mute Your Mind”.
Both Ferry Corsten and the A&R manager were quite impressed of this track, which featured a unique sound which wasn’t heard before in dance music.
A new release for Rafaël Frost on Flashover Recordings was a fact and would mean the start of a good and tight collaboration with Flashover recordings. “Mute Your Mind” became a big hit in clubs all over the world and was amongst many others supported by DJ’s such as Ferry Corsten, Tiësto, Paul van Dyk, Armin van Buuren, Above & Beyond and was featured in Judge Jules’ popular radio show on “BBC Radio 1”.
